Insurance in France and Monaco is compulsory for third party liability for damage to life, health and property. The owner is responsible for the insurance of his property, buildings and structures. On the day of signing the Final Acte de Vente Contract or the lease, the buyer or tenant must have insurance for the property being purchased/rented.
